What do I do with my Christmas tree now?!

It depends on where you live. For all of these options, the tree must be free of tinsel, ornaments and stands.

City of Olympia - Your tree can go out in your regular trash pick up area, by 6 a.m. It cannot be more than 6 feet, so if you need to cut it in half, do so before putting it out. Pickups will happen:

If your garbage day is Tuesday or Wednesday - Saturday, January 6th, 2018

If your garbage day is Thursday or Friday - Saturday, January 13, 2018

City of Lacey - Your tree must be curbside by 8:00 a.m. on January 6th, 2018. A local Boy Scout troop will be picking up trees. Donations to this wonderful organization can be made online at www.bit.ly/TreeRU.

City of Tumwater - Place your tree curbside by 8:00 a.m. on January 8th, 2018.

City of Tenino - Your tree can be dropped off from December 26, 2017 to January 15th, 2018 to 418 S. Wichman St., Tenino.

City of Yelm - There are designated dumpsters in the Yelm City Park from December 29th, 2017 to January 15th, 2018.

City of Rainier - There will be a drop box facility December 29th, 2017 to January 14th, 2018. It will be at 13010 Rainier Acres Rd.

City of Rochester - There will be a drop box facility December 26th, 2017 to January 14th, 2018. It will be at 16500 Sargent Rd.

If you are outside these areas, or if you miss the timelines, there are other options. If you have a yard/food waste container with LeMay, you can cut the tree up into sections (3 feet or less) and place the tree near the yard/food waste cart on the normal pick up day. If you don't participate in this bin, you can still put it out, but LeMay will charge you an extra fee. Otherwise, there are places you can drop it off, please see the links below:
